Don’t feel sorry for the black dwarf

Oh yes… you might wonder? What’s with the “black dwarf?” Well tradition has it that the great church father Athanasius was a short, somewhat dark complected man and was called “the black dwarf.” I’ve always admired his courage and faithfulness to Jesus, so I thought “hey, the black dwarf” is a pretty weird title for a blog…why not!
Take a close look at the icon of Athanasius and then cop a glance at the hairline on your pastor. I mean we could be twins…
Anyway… I intend this blog to be a place where you can read some of my thoughts on revival, the state of the church in the U.S., music, pastoral care, theology, interesting stuff I find while studying, links to web sites that you might what to check out and whatever else I can think of.
