Unique Christian art and artists - Enter the Worship Circle, and Waterdeep
There is a collective of Christian artists who record really unique music, both wonderfully organic worship music and music that touches on marriage, life, death and everything in between. There are three albums under the series called “Enter the Worship Circle” that are so different from the vast majority of the worship albums available. The music is much simpler in terms of the recording process and much less “produced” than most of the records being released in this catagory of music. Part of the reason that I think this music that seems to place a higher premium on artistic integrity than on commercial viability. For example the songwriters give away the chord charts. It seems to me that they actually think its more important that churches be able to use the worship music than selling the song sheets. They also have a genuine love for the church and in their artistic endevors attempt to encourage and challenge Christians.
The first of these three “Enter the Worship Circle” series is principally the work of Don and Lori Chaffer, who also record as “Waterdeep.” Waterdeep has produced a bunch of really wonderful recordings. Two in particular are outstanding “Whole nother deal” and “What you don’t know.” The music and stories that are told on these records are real and the music is very different from the highly polished CCM music.
These guys are real treasures to the church. Check out their blogs and web sites for a deeper glimpse into who and what they are all about. I was just thinking that we should do those Enter the Worship Circle songs because we need to dance! Can you burn them for us? (I know, but they’re hard to find!)

they also give all their chord charts away. All three of their albums have almost every chord chart on their site to download.
